Simple Guitar Tuner does one thing, and does it well: it gets your guitar in tune, fast.
Play a string. An arrow tells you which way to turn the peg, a live reading in cents tells you how far you have to go, and everything turns green the moment you land it. No menus, no settings to wade through, no ads.
TUNE BY SIGHT
A full-screen wave reacts to your playing in real time. It's ragged when you're off and settles into a smooth, steady line as you close in — so you can glance at the screen from across the room and know where you stand without reading a number.
ACCURATE WHERE IT COUNTS
Pitch is measured with autocorrelation analysis running entirely on your device, tuned for the low, harmonically rich notes that trip up simpler tuners. Readings are shown to the cent, and a string counts as in tune within five cents of target — tight enough that chords ring clean up the neck.
BUILT FOR STANDARD TUNING
All six strings — E2, A2, D3, G3, B3, E4 — referenced to A4 = 440 Hz. Tap a string to lock the tuner to it, or let the app work out which one you played.
AUTOMATIC STRING DETECTION (PREMIUM)
Play any string and the tuner jumps straight to it. Work your way across the neck without ever touching the screen. Automatic detection is unlocked with Simple Guitar Tuner Premium.
WORKS ON ACOUSTIC AND ELECTRIC
Anything the microphone can hear, the tuner can read — an acoustic in a quiet room, an electric through an amp, or a guitar played unplugged on the sofa.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Audio is analysed on your device, in the moment, and is never recorded, stored, or sent anywhere. The app needs the microphone and nothing else.
