Uninterrupted reading: the margin questions now start off. To study with them, turn them on in Aa or in Study › Margin. Every passage brings its own question, checked against the text. Stability improvements.

The Story: the Bible as a series • 30 episodes in two seasons: Overview, from Genesis to Revelation, and The Promise, from creation to the open sea. • Every episode has its own illustration, like a stained-glass window. • Before reading, guess what happens. Then read the real chapter and compare. • Share an episode's question as a vertical image, ready for your stories or chats. A redesigned Guide • What to read today comes first, with the episode's illustration. • Your plans, your progress and what to discover, laid out like a magazine. • Plans start each day with their story. Also • When you finish a chapter that is an episode, go on to the next one.

The deuterocanonical books are now called "Between the Testaments", with a note on their time and the passages from 1 Maccabees that describe it.

• Mark only some words: press and hold a word and tap another to extend it. Other versions mark the words that translate the same original word. • "Notebook": keep what you hear in a sermon, a class or a study. • At the end of a chapter, the next one is a tap away, and the chapter is marked read by itself. • Cleaner design: text on paper, glass only on the bars, which step aside while you read. • On iPad with Apple Pencil: underline to mark, strike through to remove, circle to select.

• Greek books (deuterocanonical): Tobit, Judith, Wisdom, Sirach, Maccabees and more, in their own section between the two Testaments. Turn them on in Profile. • Move between chapters with the arrows next to the chapter name, and press and hold it to see your recent passages. • Search the text from the reader: type a passage (Rom 8:28) or a word. • The name of God and the first word of each chapter in small caps, as in a printed Bible. • Each version says how it translates: word-for-word, balanced, thought-for-thought or plain language. • When you return to a screen, you pick up where you left off. • Standard abbreviations when choosing a book (Gen, Exod, Matt, Acts…). • The language section is now called "In two languages", and the status bar adapts to each theme. • Changing a category's color updates everything marked with it.
