PriorStates Studio turns a sentence into a little app that lives on your phone — and lets you pass it to the people who need it.
Describe what you want (“an order form for this week's vegetables”, “a packing checklist”, “a poll for Friday dinner”) and the AI builds it, right on your phone. Open it, change it, keep it.
SHARE WITH YOUR PEOPLE
• Send an app as a link or a file — through WeChat, WhatsApp, iMessage, email, anything.
• Choose whether your data goes along. A filled-in list can be the whole point.
• Circles: a family, a class or a team that share apps with one tap. Post an app, everyone gets Install; post an update, everyone gets Update.
• Replies: a form you share sends its answers back to you. Orders, sign-ups, votes — collected in your Inbox, exported to a spreadsheet.
START FROM A TEMPLATE
The Gallery has an order form, a sign-up sheet, a poll, a checklist and an expense splitter. Install one, then make it yours. Templates need no AI at all.
BRING YOUR OWN AI
• Paste a free Google AI Studio key and the app builds by itself, on your phone.
• Or install Studio on your computer (Mac, Windows or Linux) and let the Claude Code there do the building and keep your apps in git.
Your key and your apps stay on your device. Requests go from your phone straight to the AI provider, or to your own computer.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No accounts. No tracking. The one server we run is a blind relay: it moves encrypted bytes between phones and computers and cannot read them.
Studio is for the small things software should have made easy years ago: the order list for your farm, the chores rota, the group poll, the tracker that is exactly what you want. Say what you need. Then hand it to someone.
PriorStates Studio was formerly called Palmtop. Your apps, circles and settings carry over.
• Pair a TV from Menu Board or Notice Board: scan the code on the TV with your phone's camera, no typing.
• Spaces: keep separate sets of apps, such as home, work or a club, and start one from a ready-made space.
• Safer deletes: a deleted app stays in Recently deleted for 30 days, with its data, so you can bring it back.
• Faster fixes: small improvements to Studio can now reach you without waiting for a store update.
