See how much of your Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Copilot, Cursor, Muse Code and OpenCode Go allowance is left, right in the menu bar. No accounts, no tracking.
AI Usage Monitor sits in your menu bar and shows how much of your AI coding subscriptions you have used: the current session window, the weekly window and, where a vendor has one, the monthly window.
It works with the tools you already have installed and logged in:
• Claude (Claude Code)
• OpenAI (Codex CLI and ChatGPT)
• Grok (Grok Build CLI)
• GitHub Copilot (GitHub CLI or Copilot CLI)
• Cursor
• Muse Code (Meta)
• OpenCode Go
HOW IT WORKS
The app reuses the login each vendor's own app or command line tool already stores on your Mac. It never asks for your password, never creates an account and never stores a token of its own. Usage is read with one small request per provider at the interval you choose, and nothing is sent anywhere else.
WHAT YOU SEE
• A gauge in the menu bar that follows the provider you choose to track, tinted green, amber or red as the session limit fills.
• A panel with every enabled provider, its plan, its windows and when each one resets.
• Settings for enabled providers, refresh interval, the tracked provider, launch at login and menu bar colour.
• A Diagnostics tab with local counters and a redacted report you can copy when something goes wrong.
PRIVACY
No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, no tracking. The app runs in the macOS sandbox. On first launch it asks you once, through the standard macOS folder picker, for read-only access to your home folder so it can read the login files other tools saved there; you can revoke that in Settings at any time. PLEASE NOTE
The usage endpoints the vendors' own tools use are not documented public APIs. A vendor can change or close one at any time; when that happens the provider shows as unavailable until the app is updated. A provider only shows data while its own app or CLI is installed and logged in on your Mac.
