Turn singing into guitar tabs
$12.99
Hear a melody. Find the frets. Turn recordings into playable guitar tabs, slow things down, and loop the phrases you want to learn, all offline.
Sing it. Find the frets.
VocalFret turns a singing melody into guitar tablature you can hear, follow, and practice. Open an audio file or record your voice, then work through the melody one phrase at a time.
YOUR MUSIC, YOUR DEVICE
Audio processing happens entirely on your iPhone or iPad. No account, no audio uploads to our servers, and no internet connection needed for processing. No ads or analytics.
PRACTICE AT YOUR PACE
Listen to your recording or hear the melody played on guitar. Slow down playback to learn tricky passages. Pinch to show more or less of the TAB timeline. Drag to explore, or let the notes follow playback. Long-press and drag to select a phrase, then repeat it. Keep dragging at the edge to extend your selection. Choose an arrangement: the melody alone, or finger style with a thumb bass line and chord strings built from the song's detected chords. Adjust your capo and choose a guitar sound.
KEEP WHAT YOU LEARN
Save projects on your device and return whenever you want. Export guitar tabs as a text file using the iOS share sheet. Start with the included sample melody, or import MP3, M4A, WAV, and AIFF audio.

Designed for vocal melodies and single-voice recordings. Results are estimates and vary with the recording; layered voices and busy arrangements may produce mistakes. It transcribes the melody and the song's chords, not a complete multi-instrument score. Audio files must be accessible through Files; streaming-service tracks cannot be imported directly.
Requires iOS or iPadOS 17 or later.

Ready for iPhone Duo. On the folded and unfolded screens, VocalFret puts its controls in the side strip beside the clock so the TAB gets more room, and keeps your song playing as you fold and unfold. Also: the TAB toolbar fits better on small screens.
