Guardian for iPhone is the pocket companion to Guardian for Mac. Guardian for Mac catalogs your external drives while they are plugged in, so you can browse and search them after they are back on the shelf. This app brings that catalog to your phone. Stand in front of a shelf of drives and know which one holds the footage. Search every drive at once. See how much space is left on each. Open a drive and walk its folders, exactly as they were the last time your Mac saw it. How it works - Pair once by scanning a code shown by Guardian on your Mac. - The catalog syncs over your own Wi-Fi. Nothing goes through the internet and nothing leaves your network. - It syncs again each time you open the app while your Mac is nearby. - Between syncs the whole catalog stays on the phone, so it works with no connection at all. What it is not - It is read-only. Nothing you do here changes a drive or a file. - It does not carry your files, only the catalog: names, sizes, folders. - There is no account, no cloud and no analytics. No Mac to pair with yet?
