In the right Space. elo.now is an open-source communication app for teams, communities and the people you work with. Keep projects in separate Spaces, with their own members, conversations and access rules. KEEP CONVERSATIONS ORGANIZED Join a Space with an invitation link or QR code. Talk in General, create group conversations or send direct messages. Use threads, reactions, pins, reminders and search to keep work moving. Buzz brings together unread activity, mentions, threads and active calls. TALK, SEE AND SHARE Start an audio call from a conversation, answer incoming calls and turn on video when needed. A floating widget keeps call controls available as you move through the app. Screen sharing is available on desktop. Incoming call alerts depend on system permissions and device settings. CHOOSE YOUR HOSTING Use the public elo.now hosting or import a compatible hosting configuration by link or QR code. Space invitations include the hosting information needed to join. Owners manage membership, invitation expiry and whether joining needs approval. Hosting services can offer different limits and retention options. BRING YOUR ATTACHMENT STORAGE Space owners can enable attachments using a configured MEGA or S3-compatible provider, or storage offered by their hosting operator. Files are encrypted on the sending device before upload and downloaded on demand. Provider credentials are handled by the configured storage broker; no storage subscription is included with the app. CONTROL MESSAGE EXPIRY Choose no expiry, 1 hour or 24 hours when writing a message. Message expiry is separate from how long the server keeps encrypted copies. Public hosting retains those copies for up to 24 hours according to the Space setting. Devices can retain messages longer; retrieving missing history may require another authorized device to be online. MAKE IT YOURS Choose dark, automatic or light mode, interface size, colors and background motifs. Manage paired devices, use biometric unlock on supported devices and keep private notes in a conversation with yourself. PRIVACY AND RECOVERY Messages are encrypted on your device for authorized participants. Hosting services process delivery and access metadata; encryption does not hide all metadata. An independent authorization witness checks supported membership and access changes. Authorized recipients can keep copies of content they receive. Your profile is protected by a local password. Save the recovery code when setting up your profile. Recovery and encrypted backups have different roles: recovering an identity does not guarantee that all message history or attachments can be restored. Optional Debug diagnostics help investigate errors and crashes. The app explains diagnostic collection before you enable it.
