Bend thin metal strips into exact target shapes, tap by tap, before fatigue cracks them.
A material bending challenge where every tap leaves a permanent mark. Tap a mounted metal strip and it flexes, then springs back holding a fraction of that bend — the strip remembers. Repeat taps in the same spot to build toward the required angle, chain multiple bend points along a single strip for sharper zigzag shapes, and land within tolerance using as few taps as you can manage.
Nothing here is undone by waiting. Each tap adds more permanent deformation in the same direction, so overshoot and you'll need to work around it rather than take it back. Later strips carry a fatigue limit — push a joint past its safe tap count and it cracks, costing you a life.
Plan your taps, read the target-angle guide before you commit, and work through phases that introduce multi-strip layouts and tighter tolerances as you go. A gunmetal workshop, amber target indicators, and a satisfying two-stage flex-then-set motion on every tap.
