Novely: BookTracker Shelf
Real Book Spines, TBR & Widget
Only for iPhone
Free · In‑App Purchases
iPhone
Your bookshelf as it stands at home. With your real book spines, at their real size, and as a widget on your Home Screen.
Novely is in English, or in German when your iPhone is set to German.
YOUR SHELF
- Every book stands at its real height and thickness.
- Photograph your own book spines. Novely cuts them out and puts them on the shelf.
- Spine, cover facing out, or lying in a stack: hold a book and drag it where it belongs.
- To read, Read, Wishlist: a shelf each.
- Walls, light and decor, from fairy lights to a monstera.
ON YOUR HOME SCREEN
- A widget for every shelf, small, medium or large. Tap it to open exactly that shelf.
- The Currently Reading and Cover widgets show where you are in the book.
ADDING BOOKS
- Scan a barcode or search by title.
- English editions from Open Library. German editions from the German National Library (DNB), with publisher and page count.
- Saw a book in a video? Share it from TikTok, Instagram or your browser to Novely. From a TikTok, Novely looks for the books the video mentions.
- Goodreads import by CSV. Export any time.
SERIES
- German editions know their series: the volumes stand together, in order, and "All Volumes" shows which one is missing.
READING
- A reading session timer for the book you are reading, with the apps you choose blocked until it ends.
- A reading room for your session: a moving picture with a cat or a dog, and rain, fireplace or piano sounds.
- Reminders for your reading time, if you like.
NOTES & QUOTES
- Keep quotes and thoughts for every book, with the page number.
- Scan a page, drag your finger along your line, and it becomes a quote. The page is read on your iPhone.
- Share a quote as a card.
STATS
- Every month as a calendar of the covers you read, with your pages per day.
- Your reading streak and your yearly goal.
- Your week, month and reading year as a card to share, in story format.
PRIVACY, HONESTLY
No account to create. Your books, photos and shelves are stored on your iPhone. For recommendations in Discover, only titles, authors, reading statuses and ratings go to our server and Google Gemini.
NOVELY CLUB
To start, you need a trial or a subscription. After that, Novely stays usable with the basic designs: your books, shelves, widgets and cards stay yours.
Novely Club gives you access to Novely, all designs, every reading room and every sound:
- yearly, with a 3-day trial
- weekly
- forever, as a one-time purchase
The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your App Store account. You can manage and cancel it at any time in your account settings.
Novely is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by TikTok, Instagram or Goodreads.

Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
• Message Damian: questions, ideas or a bug go straight to Damian, who built Novely and reads every message personally. Under “More” and on every book page. The reply shows on your shelf.
• A new book page: description, author and edition at a glance.
• Discover opens instantly: your picks are prepared in the background. Vibe search has its own pages.
• Missing covers are found, also after a Goodreads import.
• Rating asks what fits the book.
• New pictures for empty shelves and searches.
• Small improvements and fixes.
