Block the apps that pull you away, then earn your way back in: a wait, a hundred steps, or a tap of a tag you left in the other room. Block the apps that take your day, then earn your way back in. A wait, a hundred steps, ten squats, or a tap of an NFC tag you left in the other room. A SHIELD YOU CANNOT TAP PAST Pick the apps and sites that take your day. CityBlock shields them on a schedule, on a daily limit, or all the time. The shield gives you a line worth reading instead of a progress bar, and something better to do instead. EARN YOUR WAY IN Getting past a block is deliberate. Wait out a countdown. Breathe. Walk a hundred steps. Do ten squats. Or scan an NFC tag you left somewhere inconvenient: the drawer, the gym bag, the other end of the house. A CITY THAT GROWS WHILE YOU ARE NOT LOOKING Every day you hold, your city gains storeys. Streets, traffic, weather, a skyline that is yours because of the hours you did not spend scrolling. It is a widget too, so the count is on your home screen. A DUMB PHONE ON YOUR HOME SCREEN A widget that lists the few apps worth opening, as words. No icons, no badges, nothing to browse. Add the clock, the weather, and a row of dots for how far through the year you are. Or open the same list full screen and let the app be the phone. SAY WHAT IT IS FOR Before a block lifts, CityBlock asks what you are opening it for, and shows you what you said last time. BLOCKS THAT FIT A REAL WEEK Work apps in the evening, everything else during work hours. Allow a window instead of blocking one. Take a holiday, and every block steps aside until you are back. A PAUSE INSTEAD OF A WALL Not everything needs blocking. Pause gives you a breath before an app opens, and an easy way to change your mind. GETTING UP IS ITS OWN CHALLENGE A morning block ends when you are actually up, not when you tap something. Steps, squats, or a tag by the kettle. THE WEEK, REVIEWED What held, what did not, and what to change. Plus a month without the optional apps, if you want to find out which ones can say what they are for. PANIC UNLOCK For when you genuinely need in: fifteen minutes across everything, once a day. It costs the streak, and it is meant to. FREE Unlimited blocks, schedules, daily limits, wait timers, streaks, intentions and the city. PRO, ONE PAYMENT, YOURS FOR GOOD Physical unlocks, holidays and breaks, strict mode and widgets. No account, no tracking, no analytics. Your blocks and your history stay on your device. The only thing that ever leaves is a request for the forecast, and only if you put weather on the widget.
