Swiss eSIM: Switzerland Data
Zurich, Geneva & Interlaken 5G
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Your own number stays in the iPhone for calls and texts. The Swiss line carries the data, so nothing has to come out of the phone when you land in Zurich.
Swiss eSIM is a prepaid data eSIM for Switzerland: you buy it, install it and manage it in the app.
It is made for travelers spending their days in Lucerne, Zermatt, Lugano or the Bernese Oberland, on vacation or on business.
It carries data only, so your regular SIM never leaves the iPhone — your own number keeps taking calls and texts, and WhatsApp keeps working on that number.
One phone, two lines. The Swiss eSIM handles the maps, the messages and everything you look up during the day, while your home line stays reachable. Several eSIMs sit side by side in the app, so you switch on the one this trip needs.
What you can buy
• 6 fixed data packs, when you know roughly what you use
• 6 unlimited plans — the data keeps running, and after a daily high-speed allowance the speed drops for the rest of that day
• 5 day passes, where you pick 1 to 30 days
• Regional Europe plans for a trip that crosses borders; those carry fixed data, with no unlimited option
Coverage runs on Swiss mobile networks, 4G/LTE and 5G where the network offers it.
Buying and installing
• Pay with Apple Pay or card; the eSIM is ready shortly after payment
• Install with one tap on the iPhone, by QR code, or by typing the details in by hand
• Installing needs an internet connection, so do it on Wi-Fi before you fly and switch the line on after landing
• Sign in with Apple, Google or a code sent to your email — there is no password
Also in the app
• A data calculator to size the trip before you buy
• Live balance, and a notice before the data runs low
• Top up on any plan while the eSIM is still valid; an expired eSIM cannot be topped up
Already in Switzerland? Buying, installing, topping up and support all work from there.
Refund: an eSIM you never installed, with no data used, is refunded in full within 15 days of purchase, no reason needed.
Requires an eSIM-capable, carrier-unlocked iPhone XS or newer on iOS 15 or later, or a cellular iPad with eSIM.

Landing in Zurich or Geneva for the ski week? Swiss eSIM gives the arrival of a flight you follow as the airport clocks there will read it. One look at Home also tells you whether the phone you're packing can hold an eSIM for the Alps.
