New Substorm activity reading from 25 magnetometers in Alaska, the US and northern Europe, colour-coded by alert level (yellow, orange, red, severe, major, extreme), with a page explaining what the numbers mean. Share and see nearby aurora sightings with Community reports. Severe and extreme substorm alert banners. Fixes: the tonight timeline drags properly on touch screens, and hemispheric power no longer shows a level when its data is missing.

Explore solar flare history over 24 hours, 72 hours or 7 days. See C, M and X flare counts, peak times and a detailed X-ray graph. Flagged readings and gaps are clearly marked, and unavailable data is shown explicitly. Updated controls are available in all nine languages.

New Cams tab: watch live aurora cameras and video streams from New Zealand, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Greenland, Canada and Alaska right inside the app, with a tonight timelapse where available. The score now reflects the chance of capturing aurora with a phone or camera, and live substorm alerts raise it straight away. Place search is smarter: more New Zealand towns such as Lake Tekapo and Stewart Island, Hebrew spelling variants, and the nearest match first.
