Sound now plays even when your phone is on silent. The readings are the heart of this app, so they should not be muted by the side switch — use the in-app settings to turn the voice off or change the music volume. Music from other apps keeps playing.

New free stages: Everyday Words. Learn all 46 hiragana through phrases you can actually say today — arigatou (thank you), konnichiwa (hello), sumimasen (excuse me), wakarimashita (I understand). A Words of Love stage has been added too.

Sound is clearer now. When you clear three tiles, you hear the whole word on the tile (日本 → nihon), then the reading of the character you are about to trace (nichi), and that character again once you finish writing it.

You can now set the music volume with a slider. The music starts quieter than before — turn it up if you prefer.

Fixed the English meaning being cut off. When we made the text bigger in the last version, longer meanings no longer fitted and were cut short. They are now shown in full.

The word and its English meaning are now much bigger. A player told us they could not read them well because of their eyesight. The word is about twice the size now, and the English meaning is larger too. We also fixed text being hidden behind the round window in the corner.
