Drop something in, get a link and a QR code, and send it to anyone. The file goes directly from your computer to theirs. Nothing is uploaded and nothing sits on a server, so there is no size limit and no waiting for an upload to finish. HOW IT WORKS • Drag a file or folder into Thawdrop, or choose one from the menu. • Copy the link or show the QR code. • The receiver opens it in any browser. No app, no account. • The transfer runs directly between your Mac and their device. BUILT FOR SHARING FOLDERS Share a whole folder and the receiver sees the file list. They download only the files they pick, and the rest is never transferred. STAY IN CONTROL • Protect a share with a password. Files are encrypted on your Mac before they are shared. • Set an expiry time so the link stops working on its own. • Limit how many times a share can be downloaded. • Stop sharing whenever you like. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your files are never copied to a server. Thawdrop has no accounts and never stores your files. GOOD TO KNOW Because there is no server holding your file, keep Thawdrop open until the receiver has finished downloading. Very strict networks can block direct connections.
