Free, open source and offline. Analyse CAN and CAN FD traffic, send frames, record and export to CSV or PEAK .trc. No account or subscription. diCAN is a free, open-source CAN bus analyser for DSD TECH SH-C3x USB-CAN adapters. It also works with standard CANable 1.0 and 2.0 adapters. Plug in an adapter, pick a bit rate and a bus mode, and you are on the bus. SUPPORTED ADAPTERS 1. DSD TECH SH-C30x series (SH-C30A/C30G/C30L) 2. DSD TECH SH-C31x series (SH-C31A/C31G) 3. Standard CANable 1.0 and 2.0 adapters 4. Other adapters running Elmue Multiboard 2.5 firmware 5. DSD TECH SH-C32x series (the upgraded version of SH-C31x) REQUIRES APPLE SILICON diCAN is built for Apple Silicon only. It does not run on Intel Macs. macOS 12 or later. TWO VIEWS OF THE SAME TRAFFIC - An aggregated table with one row per CAN ID: frame count, period and recently changed payload bytes highlighted. - A raw frame stream, every frame in the order it arrived. TRANSMIT - A transmit queue with any number of rows, each with its own ID, payload, period and repeat count. - Classic frames, CAN FD, CAN FD with bit-rate switch, and remote frames. FILTER, RECORD, EXPORT - Host-side id:mask filters, applied to the display. Changing a filter never discards frames already captured. - Record frames to a local database, then export to CSV or PEAK .trc for other tools. HONEST ABOUT THE ADAPTER IN FRONT OF YOU - diCAN asks the adapter what it can do and offers only that: CAN FD, listen-only and loopback appear only on firmware that supports them. - An adapter that is plugged in but not usable is still listed, with what it is and what to do about it. - A session log records connection events and reports from the adapter. NINE INTERFACE LANGUAGES English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese, switched from the menu. REQUIREMENTS - One of the adapters listed above. - A Mac with Apple Silicon, macOS 12 or later. FREE AND OPEN SOURCE Free to use, with no account or subscription. The Mac App Store build is sandboxed without network entitlements. Settings, recordings and logs stay in its own container on your Mac.
