Bring key numbers, trends, comparisons and notes together in one place. Tablelight is a native Mac dashboard builder for CSV and TSV files. Start with a template or a blank canvas, give every chart its own settings, and create a report you can return to. BUILD THE DASHBOARD YOU NEED • Drag visuals onto a canvas, move them by their headers, and resize them to fit your story. • Combine up to 30 visuals: number cards, bar, column, line, area, donut and pie charts, scatter plots, data tables, and text. • Start with Overview or Comparison, or build from a blank canvas. • Duplicate a chart, fine-tune its position, arrange layers, and undo changes as you work. MAKE EVERY VISUAL COUNT • Choose independent fields and Sum, Average or Count calculations for each chart. • Compare categories, split supported charts into series, and explore two numeric fields with scatter plots. • Group dates by day, month or year. • Set colors, legends, value labels, sorting and number labels where supported. • Add notes that explain the results and choose which columns appear in table visuals. FIND THE VIEW THAT MATTERS Search your data, filter by category, or focus on a date range across the dashboard. Give an individual visual its own additional search or category filter. Browse the source rows and inspect detected column types and missing values alongside your charts. SAVE IT. PRESENT IT. SHARE IT. Save a Tablelight workspace with your data, layout and visual settings together. Return to it without finding the original CSV. A local recovery copy helps you resume unsaved work. Use presentation mode to hide the editing tools. Export your composed dashboard as PDF or PNG, or export the rows matching your dashboard filters as CSV. Choose a light or dark app appearance. LOCAL BY DESIGN Analysis happens on your Mac. No account, advertising, tracking or cloud upload is built into Tablelight. You choose where to save workspaces and exports. Workspaces and recovery copies include the complete imported dataset; folders synchronized by another service follow that service's settings. FILE SUPPORT Open one CSV or TSV dataset per workspace, up to 20 MiB, 100,000 rows and 150 columns. Comma, tab and semicolon separators are supported. Use ISO dates and dot-decimal numbers; date grouping and date-range boundaries use UTC. Tablelight does not open Excel workbooks or Power BI files, edit source cells, join datasets or calculate custom formulas. It has no remote data connectors or cloud publishing. Scatter plots use up to the first 2,000 valid pairs; table visuals use up to the first 200 matching rows. Visuals explain display limits when they apply. Requires macOS 14 or later. Interface in English.
