MsAI is a native Mac app that puts a capable AI assistant right next to the things you actually work on: your notes, your documents, your projects, and the web.
It was built for the Mac rather than wrapped from a website. It opens fast, sits in the menu bar when you only need a quick answer, and never touches a file you have not handed it yourself.
WRITE IN NOTES
• A real rich-text editor: every font on your Mac, sizes, bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, text and highlight colour
• Bulleted, numbered and checklists, indentation, block quotes, alignment, links, undo and redo
• Print, or export to PDF, RTF, HTML, Markdown or plain text
• Share anywhere the macOS share sheet reaches
• Ask the AI about the note you are writing, in a panel beside it
CHAT THAT KEEPS UP
• Replies stream in as they are written
• Markdown, tables, and colour-highlighted code in 16 languages
• Copy any reply, regenerate the last one, stop a long answer, retry a failed one
• Attach a file or drag one straight in
• Conversations are saved, and can be pinned, renamed or deleted
WORK ON YOUR OWN DOCUMENTS
• Bring in PDF, TXT, CSV, JSON, DOC, DOCX, PNG, JPG and HEIC
• PDF previews with page counts, and image thumbnails
• Seven one-tap actions: Ask AI, Summarize, Extract text, Explain, Translate, Find information, Generate questions
• MsAI only ever sees the files you choose. It does not scan your disk.
RESEARCH WITH SOURCES
• Quick, Balanced and Deep modes, depending on how much you need
• Answers carry numbered citations
• Every source is listed with its site, and opens in your own browser
PROJECTS Keep the chats, files, notes and standing instructions for one piece of work together. MuseAI sends only the context a question actually needs, not everything you have collected.
36 READY-MADE ASSISTANTS Assistants across Learning, Work & Career, Social Media, Creative, Developer and Everyday. Pick one and start talking — those chats are deliberately not kept.
ALWAYS IN THE MENU BAR
A quick question, a new chat, or a question about what is currently on your screen, without opening the main window.
