Put every memory from your data export back into Photos, with its original date, place and caption. Preview it all for free before you save. Memtrail puts your saved Memories back where they belong: in Photos, on the day they happened. It works with the Memories export from Snapchat (Settings, My Data, "Export your Memories"). Open the export and Memtrail reads it on your iPhone or iPad. Every photo and video is matched to its record, so it lands in your library with: - its ORIGINAL date and time, not the day you imported it - its ORIGINAL place, when the export has one - its caption, stickers and drawings put back on, for photos and videos alike HOW IT WORKS 1. Choose Export: select every ZIP file of your export together (big libraries come in several parts), or the folder you unzipped them into. You can also open a ZIP in Memtrail from Files or Mail. 2. Scan: see how many photos and videos you have, how many have captions or a place, a count for every year, and anything that's missing. 3. Preview: browse every memory by year with its date, place and caption drawn on, before anything is saved. 4. Save to Photos: oldest first. Keep the originals too if you like. Stop any time and resume later: memories already saved are skipped, never duplicated. WHAT TO EXPECT - Works with the current Memories export. Export formats can change; if yours doesn't open, write to us. - Photos and videos inside the export are processed on your device. Memtrail only ADDS to your library; it never reads it. - Some exports contain download links instead of the files. For those, Memtrail offers an optional step, off unless you turn it on, that downloads your own files from the links in your export. That is the only time the app uses the network. Links expire about 7 days after the export was made. - Videos with captions are re-rendered with the caption; everything without a caption is saved exactly as it came, with no re-encoding. Scanning and previewing are free, and you can save your first 10 memories free to check how they look in Photos. A one-time purchase saves all of them. No subscription.
