Nape: Neck Posture

Screen Time for your neck

Free · In‑App Purchases

Your AirPods already know how far you lean. Nape turns that into a nudge before your neck pays for it. Nape reads head motion from your AirPods, shows how far you lean forward, and nudges you before your neck pays for it. No camera, no wearable to buy: the sensors are already in your ears. LIVE TILT A side-profile figure leans as your head does. Green when upright, orange once you cross your threshold, with a live estimate of the weight on your neck. NUDGES THAT ESCALATE Lean too long and Nape plays a sound in your AirPods and taps your phone. Five sounds, three intensities (Gentle, Firm, Relentless), and it gets firmer if you ignore it. YOUR DAY IN MINUTES Time spent leaning today, the average load your neck carried while you did, an hourly chart and a 7-day history. DYNAMIC ISLAND AND LOCK SCREEN Your current angle stays at the top of the screen while tracking. APPLE WATCH Nudges reach your wrist as notifications when your iPhone is locked, or instantly through the watch app. A complication shows your tilt and today's leaning time. RUNS IN THE BACKGROUND Switch apps or lock your phone; tracking continues. Just don't swipe Nape away. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no server, no analytics. Head motion is processed on your iPhone and never uploaded. Open source. THE SCIENCE, HONESTLY Load is estimated with a static lever model of the cervical spine, tuned to published research (Hansraj 2014). It's shown as an estimate, with the math one tap away. Nape is not a medical device. Requires AirPods Pro, AirPods 3, AirPods 4, AirPods Max or Beats Fit Pro. AirPods 1 and 2 have no motion sensor. Nape is free to try for 7 days. Afterwards, tracking is limited to one hour a day; Nape Pro unlocks everything with a one-time purchase.
