The Jellyfish Journey
Swim with real sea animals
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Jellyfish Journey is a calm, beautiful ocean for young children, and for anyone who needs a quiet moment.
You are a small jellyfish. Touch the water anywhere and it glows and swims. Drift over a coral reef, through a swaying kelp forest and past a sunken ship, then sink through the twilight into the deep, where the animals make their own light.
MEET 63 REAL SEA ANIMALS
Bottlenose dolphins, sea turtles, killer whales, a giant squid, firefly squid, anglerfish, leafy sea dragons, clownfish in their anemone, and 21 kinds of real jellyfish. Every animal is a real species with its real name, drawn and animated to move like the real thing.
A WALL OF EVERY ANIMAL
Every animal has a place on the wall. Tap one and you are taken to see it. Nothing is ever locked: animals you haven't met yet wait as soft silhouettes until you find them.
LEARN AS YOU GO
Tap an animal's name for a short page of real facts, with a read-aloud button. Nothing plays until you ask.
MADE TO BE CALM
• No reading needed, no timers, no score, nothing to lose
• Any touch does something lovely, and big, forgiving targets suit small or unsteady hands
• No flashes and no sudden sounds; every change is slow and gentle
• Soft chimes from a single five-note scale, so every tap sounds right, over a gentle binaural soundscape (best with headphones)
• The shallows are always bright; the deep is dark and full of glowing animals
• Plays upright or sideways, on iPhone and iPad
Made by a parent for a six-year-old who loves jellyfish.
