Most app blockers put up a wall. When you're tired or bored, you tap straight through it. Urgewave works differently: it teaches you to notice the urge, let it peak, and watch it fade, a technique called urge surfing.
HOW IT WORKS
- Pick the apps that pull you in: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Reddit or anything else.
- When you open one, Urgewave steps in with a pause.
- Name the urge: bored, anxious, avoiding something, or just habit.
- Rate how strong it feels, then surf it for 90 seconds with a calming wave.
- Rate it again. Then choose: let it pass, or open the app for 15 minutes.
Every urge you ride out is logged as a win. Over time you'll see when your urges hit, what drives them, and how often you ride them out instead of scrolling.

SUBSCRIPTION DETAILS
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends. If you start a free trial, you'll be charged when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
