Mac
New: a photo gallery, Add to Photos, automatic backup when you plug in, Wi-Fi transfer and verified copies.
Ferrylane copies files between your Mac and your Android phone over a USB cable or your Wi-Fi, quickly and without fuss.
Two panes, side by side: your Mac on the left, your phone on the right. Drag photos, videos, music and documents from one side to the other, or select them and press Copy.
FREE
• Browse your phone's internal storage and SD cards
• Photos & Videos gallery: see your phone's pictures as thumbnails, grouped by month, and pick exactly what to copy
• Copy files up to 200 MB each, in both directions — and your first 3 larger files free, to try it
• Skips files you already have, so nothing is copied twice
• Verified copy: every file can be checked byte for byte against the phone after copying
• Live progress with speed and time remaining
• If the cable comes loose, Ferrylane waits for the phone and carries on from the last finished file
FERRYLANE PRO — ONE-TIME IN-APP PURCHASE

• Automatic backup: new photos and videos are copied to a folder of your choice every time you plug the phone in
• Wi-Fi: connect once by cable, then unplug and keep copying over your home network

A PROPER FILE MANAGER FOR YOUR PHONE
• A Finder-style sidebar with your phone's folders and every Mac folder you allow
• List or icon view, and a filter in each pane
• Create folders, rename and delete on the phone
• Picture thumbnails and Quick Look previews
• Free space shown for every storage volume
• Photos and videos you copy to the phone appear straight away in its gallery
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Ferrylane has no accounts, no analytics and no cloud. Your files go straight from your phone to your Mac and never leave your own devices.
GETTING STARTED
Ferrylane uses the phone's USB debugging connection, because macOS keeps the phone's own "File transfer" mode for its Photos import. Turning it on takes a minute, and the app shows you how: open Settings, tap Build number seven times, switch on USB debugging, and tap Allow when the phone asks about this Mac.
Works with phones running Android 5 or later. Requires a USB cable that carries data.
