Launch from a real Swiss take-off, hunt for thermals under the clouds, circle up to cloudbase and fly as far as you can. Cloudbase XC is a cross-country paragliding game set in the real Alps.
REAL SWITZERLAND
• 14 flying regions built from swisstopo height data, aerial imagery and place names: Bernese Oberland, Fiesch & Goms, Verbier, Engelberg–Rigi, Appenzell, Surselva, Davos, Jura, Ticino, Zermatt, Leukerbad, Gstaad, Chasseral and Amden
• Real launch sites and landing fields, peaks and villages labelled as you fly past
• Lakes, forests, glaciers and ridges exactly where they are
THERMALS AND WEATHER
• Thermals trigger over sunny slopes and top out at cloudbase under the cumulus
• Wind, sink, turbulence and the odd collapse keep you busy
• Live weather: fly today's conditions with forecasts from MET Norway and measurements from MeteoSwiss, or pick a region's classic flying day
• A vario that beeps faster the harder you climb
THREE TASKS
• Free distance – as far from launch as you can get
• Out & return – round a turnpoint and come back
• FAI triangle – three legs, back to where you started
HANGAR
• Earn stars on every flight and spend them on better gear
• Wings from forgiving EN-A school gliders to EN-D competition wings
• Thinner lines and a pod harness for the last bit of glide
• Personal records for every region and task
EASY TO FLY
• Steer with the arrow keys or A/D, or use a game controller
• Optional thermal markers for beginners
One region, the Bernese Oberland, is free to fly for as long as you like. A one-time purchase unlocks the other 13 regions – no subscription, no ads.
