Level A1 is free for ever. Beyond it: the whole course to C1, the grammar, the phrasebook and the dictionary — all of it offline, with no account. Klar German explains German in English — and asks exactly as much as it takes to remember. WHAT IS DIFFERENT HERE Noun gender is what adults stumble over the longest. Here it is not a note beside a word but a dimension of its own: one word is up to eight independent cards. Recognise it, write it, recall its gender, recall its plural, assemble a sentence from tiles, hear it and pick it out, choose haben or sein, put the article in the right case. The scheduler sees every card separately. You can recognise a word confidently and keep failing its gender — the app notices that and strikes exactly there. A MISTAKE IS WHERE THE EXPLANATION BELONGS When the word order goes wrong, the app does not say "incorrect". It looks for the pattern: an infinitive that is not at the end is the verb bracket; a verb that is not in second position is V2 order. The explanation is attached to the kind of question and arrives at the moment of the mistake, instead of sitting in a theory chapter nobody reads. THE WHOLE COURSE 277 lessons from A1 to C1. 4,882 words. 192 grammar rules with examples. A phrasebook, and 41 passages with the translation beside them. COMPLETELY OFFLINE No account, no servers, nothing to sign up for. The whole course lives in the app: on the underground, on a plane, abroad — it makes no difference. FREE The whole of A1: 35 lessons, nearly 500 words, the rules, the phrasebook and every kind of card. For ever. SUBSCRIPTION Opens the rest of the course — A2 to C1, all the grammar, the whole phrasebook, the passages with their translations, search across the whole dictionary, and a shield for the streak on a day you could not come. The cards you have already earned stay with you even without a subscription.
