Mechanical Design Studio is a streamlined 3D mechanical design workspace for Mac, iPhone, and iPad.
Design, assemble, inspect, and present mechanical systems without the complexity of traditional CAD software. Start with realistic components, create your own parts, import existing CAD models, and organize complete machines in an interactive 3D workspace.
DESIGN AND ASSEMBLE
• Build machines with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, automation, and power-transmission components
• Move, rotate, resize, duplicate, and inspect components in 3D
• Organize complex assemblies with layers
• Adjust component and layer opacity to see inside machines
• Use exploded and section views for inspection
• Create parameters, sketches, extrusions, revolved bodies, measurements, assembly mates, and feature history

• Draw precise 2D profiles with grid snapping
• Enter exact X and Y coordinates

CAD IMPORT
Import existing components in:

STEP models are translated using Open CASCADE geometry processing and displayed with tessellated surfaces and CAD edge details.

An active Pro subscription unlocks unlimited projects and components, the complete parts library, all starter machines, CAD model imports, parametric modeling tools, measurements, mates, feature history, and professional OBJ, USDZ, DXF, and Bill of Materials exports.
Projects are stored locally on your device. No account is required.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple Account settings.
