Calque draws precise floor plans of your house and gives every room its exact area, measured the way a notary, an architect or a planning office will ask for it.
Drag out walls with your finger, then set any length, thickness or position to the millimetre. Calque finds the rooms between the walls by itself: you never draw a room, so its area can never disagree with the walls around it.
Free to download, with no limit on levels or rooms: every tool and every area standard are yours. Calque Pro is one purchase, with no subscription, for what you hand on: the PDF to scale, the area schedule as CSV and flooring quantities. Whatever joins Pro later is included.
AREAS YOU CAN HAND OVER
• Net floor area, surface habitable (loi Boutin), surface Carrez and surface de plancher, per room, per level and for the whole house
• Rooms measured to the finished face of each wall, linings included
• Give each room a type, from bedroom to laundry, garage or terrace, or just a name: call it “Landing” and it counts as a corridor
• A wall that stops a few millimetres short leaves its room open. Calque marks the gap and closes it in one tap
• Each room's floor in its doorways and its skirting length, for a flooring quote (Pro)
WALLS THAT BEHAVE LIKE WALLS
• Wall kinds, each with its own thickness, and a build-up on each side, such as plaster or insulation, counted into the rooms
• Corners shared by the walls that meet there: drag a wall and its neighbours follow
• Curved walls for a bay or a round tower
• Chimney breasts, pilasters and niches, and railings round a terrace or a stairwell
• Doors, windows, columns, stairs and steel beams by profile, with their bearings and span
• Furniture for the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom, with its clearances drawn
DIMENSIONS THAT HOLD
• An automatic dimension ladder along the walls, plus chains you place yourself
• Freeze a dimension and the plan keeps it: type 3.40 m and the wall moves to match
LEVELS AND BUILDINGS
• Ground floor, upstairs, cellar, and a garage or an annex as a building of its own
• Show the level below as a ghost while you draw, and align a level onto it
• Draw a floor opening as any shape: the stair shows through it, and it comes off that floor's area
• Set north from one facade, and see which way each window and room faces
EXISTING AND PROPOSALS
• Keep the house as surveyed and redraw any number of proposals beside it, in the same file
• Compare a proposal with Existing: what to demolish in yellow, what to build in red, and the change in every area
THE PLOT AND THE PLU (FRANCE)

• Type your commune's PLU limits, and Calque checks setbacks, emprise au sol, pleine terre and borehole distances as you draw
TRACE WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE
• Import a scanned plan, a photo or a PDF, set its scale from one length you know, and draw over it
• Photographed at an angle? Tap the four corners of a rectangle on the sheet and Calque straightens it flat
EXPORT TO SCALE (PRO)
• A PDF at 1:50, 1:100 or your own scale, with a live preview and a title block filled in for you
• The screen and the PDF come from the same renderer, so the print matches what you drew
