A steadier tuner. • The needle now locks only on a settled note, so far fewer false locks. • Reads better through background noise, room hum and other instruments playing nearby.

A quieter, steadier tuner. • Hears quieter instruments in a silent room, and still ignores room hum. • When a string locks in tune, the needle holds on its settled position and a soft bell rings once. Turn either off in Settings, under "When a string is in tune", for continuous live matching. • The strobe is calmer and no longer jumps on a fading note. • New Settings button on the Tune screen. • Vector and Bench mark the harmonics of your target note on the spectrum: tune until the peaks sit under the ticks.

A steadier, more accurate tuner. • The needle glides with your note and holds still once it settles. Readouts show whole cents. • Every skin glows when your note is steady and in tune, and shows a thin ring when it's steady but off. • Pianos read true: the needle no longer runs sharp on stretched piano strings. • Room hum and rumble no longer show up as low notes, and quieter instruments are picked up. • On iPhone, swipe left or right to change skins.

New: three Pro skins. • Bench: a lab oscilloscope. Tune by its Lissajous figure: a circle means you're in tune. Tap to switch to the waveform or the spectrum. • Terrarium: a kawaii garden. Its plant leans like a needle and grows while you stay in tune. • Songbook: a songwriter's notebook. A painted guitar headstock lights the string you play, a pencil shows the pitch, and a pick keeps time. It shows your song's capo, too. Daylight is now part of Tine: pick the Graphite color for the same high-contrast look (your choice carries over).

Fixed: a metronome or drone playing in the background or with the screen locked drained the battery faster than it should. It now uses much less power.
