Camino: Immigration Education
Rights, Practice & Resources
Free · Designed for iPad
Interactive scenarios, bite-sized learning, a family preparedness planner, and a searchable resource finder—in English, Spanish, and Chinese. By Project Second Voice.
Camino helps people learn, practice, and prepare for immigration-related situations before they happen.
Practice real-world situations. Learn immigration concepts, build a family plan, and find reviewed resources—in English, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese.
PRACTICE REAL-WORLD SITUATIONS
Make decisions in five interactive experiences: Traffic Stop, At the Door, Workplace Encounter, Family Member Detained, and Student Status. Each scenario combines choices, immediate feedback, environmental interactions, mini-games, and a stress system. Choose Easy, Medium, or Hard support, retry when needed, and use optional wellness pauses.
LEARN ONE CONCEPT AT A TIME
Build understanding across six learning modules covering immigration vocabulary, rights knowledge, preparedness, status and program concepts, trusted help, and resource identification. Practice with 390 questions, 66 flashcards, matching activities, quizzes, and mixed review. Explanations, missed-question review, mastery levels, XP, streaks, goals, and achievements help you keep moving.
BUILD YOUR PREPAREDNESS PLAN
Work through eight guided pathways for family preparedness, child pickup, a detained family member, document organization, appointments, transportation, questions for legal help, and emotional support. My Plan brings together tasks, trusted contacts, notes, important document locations, school and medical details, and next steps. Copy, print, or export your plan when you choose.
FIND HELP AND RESOURCES
Search and filter 56 reviewed public-resource links by service, location, availability, and language. Explore legal-aid directories, detention and rapid-response resources, youth and school support, family preparedness, mental-health support, housing, food, medical resources, and government information. Camino opens the provider’s website so you can confirm current services directly.
ENGLISH, SPANISH & CHINESE
Core navigation, scenarios, learning content, planning tools, Help descriptions, settings, and legal information are available in English, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese. Organization names and linked websites remain in the languages offered by their providers.
PRIVATE, PRACTICAL, AND AVAILABLE OFFLINE
No account is required. Your progress, settings, and preparedness-plan information stay on your device. Optional practice reminders are local notifications. Core activities work offline after installation; external resource websites require internet access.
Camino provides general education and preparedness information, not legal advice. Camino is not a law firm, attorney, government agency, or emergency response service. Resource details and laws can change. Verify information with the listed provider, and contact a qualified attorney or accredited representative for guidance about your situation.
