ZongZong: Zongzi from London

Handmade Sticky Rice Dumplings

Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Fresh, never frozen: zongzi wrapped by hand and steamed every morning in London. Order by 6pm for next-day London delivery, or have them shipped chilled across the UK. Zongzi the way your family made them. At ZongZong, every zongzi is wrapped by hand in our small London kitchen and steamed the morning it leaves – fresh, never frozen. WHY WE STARTED Every zongzi we could buy in London was frozen, and nothing like the ones from home. So we started wrapping our own. Bamboo leaves soak overnight until they turn supple and fragrant. Glutinous rice is tossed in soy sauce, rice wine and a little sugar. Pork belly marinates overnight in soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, ginger and five-spice. If you can taste the leaf, we’ve done our job. SAVORY (SOY-MARINATED RICE) • The Classic Trio – pork belly, salted egg yolk and chestnut • Pork belly & salted egg yolk – the Jiaxing classic • Meigancai pork rib & chestnut – Zhejiang home cooking at its best • Chinese sausage & salted egg yolk, dried scallop, shiitake, mung bean and more • Vegan shiitake, chestnut & peanut SWEET (WHITE RICE) • Red bean paste, candied jujube, taro, lotus seed & osmanthus • Purple sweet potato & black sesame • A molten dark-chocolate zongzi, for something new BUILD YOUR OWN Choose soy-marinated or white rice, pick from around 30 fillings and choose your size. Tell us your family recipe and we’ll wrap it exactly as you describe. Custom recipes are made in small batches of 3. DELIVERY (UK ONLY) • London: order by 6pm UK time for next-day van delivery to most postcodes inside the M25.
