WP Vault: Android Chat Viewer
Open old backups on iPhone
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Read your old WhatsApp chats, photos and voice notes on iPhone. 7 days free after your first successful real backup import; one-time unlock, no subscription.
Moved from Android to iPhone and left your old WhatsApp chats behind? They're still in your backup. WP Vault opens it and lets you read every chat, photo, video and voice note on your iPhone.
WhatsApp's own move to iPhone only works while you set up the new phone. Miss that window and your history stays in the backup from your old Android phone. WP Vault opens that backup and shows it the way you remember it: conversations, bubbles, dates and all.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Copy your backup (msgstore.db.crypt15) from your Android phone to your iPhone. The step-by-step guide in the app shows you how.
2. Enter your 64-digit end-to-end backup key. No key? A decrypted msgstore.db works too.
3. Start reading. Add your Media folder for photos, videos and voice notes, and wa.db to see contact names.
READ IT LIKE IT NEVER LEFT
• Every one-to-one and group chat, all the way back to the first message
• Photos, videos, voice notes and documents open right in the conversation
• Replies, reactions, starred messages, captions, polls, locations and group notices, as they were
• Search the whole archive by word, or jump straight to your starred messages
• Browse every table and field in the backup, including calls and any records of deleted messages it still holds
PRIVATE AND READ-ONLY
Your chats, contacts and media never leave your iPhone, and WP Vault works fully offline. No account to create. Your backup is opened read-only: nothing can be sent, edited or deleted, and your original file is never changed. Your backup key is used to open the file and is never stored. Anonymous usage statistics can be switched off in the app and never include chat content, contacts or media.
TRY IT FREE FIRST
Your 7-day free trial starts after you successfully import your first real backup, and the built-in sample archive does not start it. After the trial, your most recent chat and its 20 newest messages stay readable, and a single one-time purchase permanently unlocks the whole archive. No subscription.
GOOD TO KNOW
• Works with end-to-end encrypted Android backups (crypt15) and decrypted msgstore.db files
• WP Vault is a reader: it doesn't restore chats into WhatsApp or connect to your WhatsApp or Google account
• You bring the backup file; WP Vault never downloads backups for you
• Runs on iPhone and iPad
WP Vault is not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta.
