Discover your next favorite
Explore movies and shows, discover something new, and search across your connected library. Save favorites in My List and use Continue Watching to pick up where you left off.
Subtitles that keep up
Choose available subtitle tracks or search online subtitles for supported titles. Edit the title, year or IMDb ID and filter releases using your own keywords. Adjust subtitle timing to keep the words in sync with the action. Online subtitle access is included without entering an API key.
Your teams, live now
Choose favorite teams and see their ongoing games in Live Now on the dashboard. Browse scores, fixtures and results for supported leagues, then find matching channels in your connection.
Watch across devices
Enjoy native playback controls on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV. Download supported movies and episodes on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Send supported streams with AirPlay or Chromecast from compatible devices. Downloads, casting and stream compatibility vary by platform, provider and receiver. Some iPhone, iPad and Apple TV compatibility playback requires the optional Mac companion. Apple TV does not offer downloads or send video to another receiver.
Keep up with your shows
Track saved shows and find new episodes from your connection. Optional system notifications are available on iPhone, iPad and Mac; Apple TV has an in-app episode inbox.
Your library across devices
Optional Cinema cloud sign-in syncs connections, favorites, teams and viewing progress across devices. You can also use your connection locally without a Cinema account.
Bring your own connection
Cinema is a player. It does not sell television subscriptions or include access to commercial channels, movies or streaming services. You need your own compatible provider connection and permission to access its content. Availability, artwork, guide data and subtitles depend on the source.
iPhone and iPad require iOS/iPadOS 17 or later. Mac requires Apple silicon and macOS 26 or later. Apple TV requires tvOS 18 or later.
