When your battery gets low, Batly wakes up.
Batly is a tiny pixel bat that lives in your menu bar and makes sure you never miss low battery again. Instead of a small notification that's easy to overlook, Batly flies onto your screen: over full-screen apps and on every display.
THREE ALERTS, THREE WAYS
• Gentle alert (20%): Batly flies a figure-eight in the top-right corner, then hangs upside down and waits.
• Important alert (10%): Batly bumps into the bottom-left corner, right on the side where a MacBook's charger plugs in.
• Urgent alert (5%): Batly chases your mouse pointer, even across displays.
Plug in the charger and Batly flies away happy. A click sends it off, too.
MAKE IT YOURS
• Set the percentage of each alert by dragging pins along the battery line
• Turn each alert and its sound on or off
• Try every alert right from Settings
• Optional pixel message box with battery level and time left
BATTERY HEALTH: "I'M FULL!"
When your battery reaches the level you choose while charging (70–95%), Batly flies in with a full belly: "I'm full! You can unplug now, your battery will last longer." At most once a day.
QUIET IN MEETINGS
On a video call or giving a presentation? Batly notices on its own. The alert waits in the corner or stays hidden, and comes once the meeting ends. You can also turn on Meeting mode from the menu. Batly never listens to or records anything.
ALWAYS AT A GLANCE
The menu bar icon sleeps, wakes up and panics along with your battery. Click it to see the percentage, time remaining and the next alert.
MEET BATLY
A short welcome tour introduces Batly on your own screen and rehearses every alert with you.
LIGHT AND PRIVATE
• Uses virtually no CPU while waiting
• Never connects to the internet
• To detect meetings it only checks whether the microphone is in use; it never listens
