Waddle Goose is a party game for 1-4 players around one iPad. Everyone takes a corner and a goose, everyone plays at the same time, and each goose has just two buttons: a left foot and a right foot.
TWO BUTTONS, ONE RHYTHM
- Tap left, right, left, right to waddle. The faster you tap, the faster you go.
- Tap the same foot twice to turn. The left button turns your goose left.
- Press both at once to hop, with a big flap of the wings.
Anyone gets it in three seconds. Getting good at it is another story: rush and your feet get tangled, turn too late and you waddle straight past the snack. That is where the laughing starts. And when two geese meet? BONK. Both bounce back and see stars.
FIVE GAMES (AND A PRACTICE YARD)
- Feast. Eat the most before time's up, in the farmyard or on the pond. A tie brings out one golden snack.
- Hide. Musical chairs with a hawk: there is always one hole too few. When its shadow comes, the lids flip open. Get in!
- Repel. A fox is after your eggs. Stare it down and it freezes; flap at it and it runs.
- Lap. Once round the island: hop the log, jump the stream, slog through the mud. Roll the dice for the inside lane.
- Through the Exit. A runaway gate wanders the snowfield. Corner it and waddle through for a point.
- Practice. No clock, no winner, just waddling.
DRESS UP YOUR GOOSE
80 things to wear - hats, neckwear, bags and shoes - from a straw hat to rocket boots and a baby goose riding on your back. Every one opens by playing: eat, hop, win, bonk. Nothing to buy. Each corner keeps its own outfit.
ROBOTS FILL THE EMPTY SEATS
Any corner can be a person, a robot or nobody at all. Robots come in Easy, Normal and Hard, so one player alone still gets a real game - and Hard does not go easy on anyone.
