Tony Crayfish Image Blinder prepares scientific images for blinded analysis. Select folders containing JPEG, TIFF, or CZI images, and the app assigns neutral filenames across the collection. It creates an Excel key so the researcher can later match each exported image to its original.
Choose Keep Original Formats to preserve file contents, or Convert All Images to TIFF for a consistent output format. Supported CZI images are converted to OME-TIFF. The app checks exported images and leaves source files unchanged.
Keep the Excel key separate from images shared with an analyst. Its identifying columns are hidden, not encrypted. Image content or embedded metadata may still reveal identifying information. Check representative outputs in your analysis software before using them in a study.
