Turn your documents into something you can listen to. Local TTS reads your books, notes and documents aloud with AI voices generated on your device. Download a voice package once, then keep listening without an internet connection.
LISTEN TO YOUR OWN CONTENT
Import EPUB, DOCX, ODT, TXT and Markdown files, or PDFs with selectable text. Paste text, write a note, recognize text in a photo or scan a document with your camera. Review and edit the extracted text before listening.
SPEECH THAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE
Your document text is processed locally for speech generation rather than uploaded to a cloud speech service. Keep your library on your device and listen wherever you go. Internet access is needed to download voice packages and for purchases; speech generation works offline once a voice is ready.
FOLLOW ALONG OR LISTEN IN THE BACKGROUND
Follow sentence highlighting as you read, adjust playback speed and move between sentences. Continue listening in the background or with the screen locked. Saved reading progress helps you pick up where you left off, and a sleep timer lets you choose when playback stops.
CHOOSE YOUR VOICE AND LANGUAGE
Explore voice previews and choose from 31 supported reading languages, including English, Polish, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Ukrainian, Japanese and Korean. Manage downloaded voices and audio storage from Settings. Voice availability varies by language.
MAKE YOUR LIBRARY YOUR OWN
Save and rename documents, search your library by title and adjust reader text size. Choose a light or dark appearance and set your preferred reading language and playback speed.
EXPORT YOUR NARRATION
Generate an M4A audio file from a document and share it using the iOS share sheet.
TRY BEFORE YOU UPGRADE
Try a free listening preview for each document. Full listening and premium features require an in-app purchase. Available plans and prices are shown in the app.
OPTIONAL ANALYTICS
Usage analytics is off by default and can be enabled or disabled in Settings. Document text and audio recordings are not included in analytics events.
