GlideNotes brings notebooks, PDF reading, and annotation to iPhone and iPad. Write down ideas, read your documents, and draw a dashed rectangle around an unfamiliar word or passage to open Apple’s system translation interface.
Start with a page
Create a notebook with blank, ruled, grid, or dotted A4 paper. Choose a name and starting page count, then insert more note pages as you work.
Write, type, and add images
Annotate with pen, pencil, highlighter, and cover tape. Choose whole-stroke or partial ink erasing, with undo and redo for annotation edits. Each writing tool remembers its color and width. Add and edit typed annotations, change text size and color, or insert images from Photos or Files.
Select and organize
Use a freeform or rectangular lasso to move, resize, copy, or delete GlideNotes-created ink, text, tape, and images, and recolor supported annotations. In All Pages, insert, duplicate, move, rotate, or delete pages; bookmarks and reading progress follow page changes. The Notes tab brings together annotated pages. Export your PDF with its annotations.
Select words and passages
Use your finger or Apple Pencil to select text. For scanned PDFs, GlideNotes recognizes text in the selected area on your device before opening system translation. Languages and language downloads are managed by the system.
Read comfortably
Choose Day, Night, or Follow System. Night mode also darkens the white PDF page. Use outlines, bookmarks, page thumbnails, and original-text search to find your place. Browse your library in a grid or list, search titles, or filter by recent reading and bookmarks.
Continue on another device
Select the same iCloud Drive folder on each iPhone and iPad to sync PDFs, notebooks, annotations, bookmarks, and reading progress. Local copies remain available offline. File transfers are handled by the system and may take time. Update all participating devices to this version when using page management in a shared library.
Import PDFs from Files, create a notebook, or start with the included English sample book. This version supports PDF files. Scanned pages support selection-area text recognition; document search uses an existing PDF text layer. The app interface is currently in Simplified Chinese.

- Create notebooks with blank, ruled, grid, or dotted paper, and add typed annotations and note pages.
- Use freeform or rectangular lasso selection to move, resize, copy, delete, or recolor supported GlideNotes annotations.
- Erase part of an ink stroke with the new partial eraser, while retaining whole-stroke erasing, undo, and redo.
- Insert images from Photos or Files, then adjust their size and position.
- Insert, duplicate, move, rotate, and delete pages in All Pages, with bookmarks and reading progress following page changes.
- Improved annotation saving and display, preserving layer order and highlighter transparency.
Update all participating devices to this version when using page management in a synced library.
