LIVING HINGE
AuraFold reads the real lid angle on laptops with a lid-angle sensor. As you close the lid, the screen draws back toward the hinge, and a soft thunk plays when it shuts. Choose from eight hinge styles, including Aurora Hinge, Frosted Glass, Nightfall and Hairline. On a laptop without the sensor, AuraFold reacts when the lid opens and closes.
LID INSIGHTS
See the lid angle in the menu bar. Find out how often you open your laptop, how long it stays open and the angle you usually work at. Set a comfort range and get a gentle reminder outside it. Everything stays on your laptop.
CREASE AND POSES
When a window lands next to another, a crease of light marks where they meet. Poses put every open app into a layout you saved, with one click or a keyboard shortcut. Start from Book, Thirds, Focus, Laptop or Corner, or make your own with AuraFold Pro.
LIQUID LIGHT AND WAKE BLOOM
Plug in the charger and light runs around the edge of the screen, colored by the battery level. Open the lid or unlock, and the screen wakes with a bloom of light. Pick one of eight unlock styles, and add a greeting for the time of day with AuraFold Pro.
SOUND STUDIO
Mechanical sounds in six materials, tuned for each event, with trackpad haptics. Titanium and Walnut are free. Glass, Paper, Ceramic, Brass and sound tuning come with AuraFold Pro.
PORT AND POWER CARE
A soft amber light and a short note tell you when a USB port keeps reconnecting, a charger is unstable or too weak, or a drive is pulled out before ejecting.
TRY IT
A virtual laptop in Settings lets you try every effect in seconds, and "Your Day in 20 Seconds" plays a whole day of sounds and light.
CALM BY DESIGN
AuraFold lives in the menu bar and uses near-zero CPU at rest. Pause it for an hour or until tomorrow. It respects Reduce Motion and Reduce Transparency.
PRIVATE
No account, no analytics, no ads. AuraFold does not collect any data. Purchases go through the store’s own In-App Purchase.
AURAFOLD PRO
Every Pro feature is free for 3 days from the first launch. After that, AuraFold Pro, a one-time In-App Purchase, is needed for: six more hinge styles, five more light styles and five more unlock styles, with their Customize controls and presets; greetings; the Glass, Paper, Ceramic and Brass sounds, sound tuning, and sounds for displays, drives and USB; 90 days of lid history and up to five angle alerts; your own Poses, the Pose Wheel and Pose sharing; and exporting your day as a video. There is no subscription. Everything else stays free.
The live lid angle and Lid Insights need a laptop with a lid-angle sensor. Poses use a companion shortcut that AuraFold adds to the Shortcuts app with your permission.
