Derly now transcribes with Whisper, right on your device. It hears names and quiet voices better, and no longer misses whole recordings or changes you say out loud. It downloads once, on Wi-Fi, and the bubble at the top shows how far along it is. New in Plus: Fast, nearly as accurate as Precise and an hour's meeting in a minute or two, in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese. Each note shows which model made its transcript, and you can make it again with another. Your older transcripts are made again, newest first. Notes you didn't change are written again; notes you changed keep your words. Better and Best are now called Everyday and Precise. Long transcripts scroll smoothly on iPad. Recording starts faster and works with AirPods and other Bluetooth headsets.

Long recordings are more reliable. An hour's meeting becomes a note without running out of memory, and if Derly ever stops while writing a note, your recording is kept and you can try again. Long transcripts open and scroll smoothly.

Writing in a note feels like Apple Notes. The whole note is one text you can select across lines, and Return starts the next line of the same kind, like a to-do after a to-do. Tap Aa above the keyboard for headings, bold, lists and indents. On iPhones and iPads with iOS 27 that can't use Apple Intelligence, download Gemma, Google's open model, from Derly's Settings. Derly then writes your notes right on your device.

Derly is more playful. It nods while you talk, gets star eyes when you have an idea, and cheers when you tick off a to-do. Hold it to move it where you like. Keep using your phone while you record. Minimize the recorder or switch apps, and Derly keeps listening in a bar at the bottom. The transcript is right next to the note now, and picking which changes to apply is simpler. Derly now works on iOS 26 too.
