Rafi Radio is a free internet radio player for classic Hindi film music.
NO ACCOUNT REQUIRED
There is no sign-up, login, subscription or in-app purchase. Launch the app and
press play on any station. No demo credentials are needed.
HOW TO TEST
1. The app opens on a curated list of stations and begins loading automatically.
2. Tap any station to start playback. Give it a few seconds - these are live
third-party streams and connection time varies by broadcaster.
3. Category chips (Rafi, Kishore, Lata, 90s Hits, ...) filter the list.
4. The heart icon saves a favorite; favorites and recents appear at the top.
STATION CONTENT
Stations are not hosted by us. They are public internet radio streams supplied by
the community-maintained Radio Browser directory (https://www.radio-browser.info)
plus a small curated seed list. We link to broadcasters' own public stream URLs
and do not host, alter or redistribute any audio.
APP TRANSPORT SECURITY
The app sets NSAllowsArbitraryLoads. This is required because a large share of
public radio broadcasters still publish their streams over plain HTTP endpoints
that we do not control and cannot upgrade. Without the exception those stations
fail silently. All of our own network calls (the station directory API) use HTTPS.
CARPLAY
The CarPlay audio entitlement has been granted for this App ID. CarPlay shows a
browsable list of favorites and recent stations with standard playback controls.
APPLE WATCH
The watch app is a companion controller. It mirrors the iPhone's current station
and playback state over WatchConnectivity, and can play/pause, change station and
select a favorite. It requires the iPhone app; it does not stream independently.
