Timetable Tamer
Lesson Timer for Teachers
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
**Never lose track of lesson time again.**
Timetable Tamer is a free lesson timer and school timetable app, built by a teacher for teachers.
Ever become so engrossed in teaching that the bell catches you by surprise? Timetable Tamer keeps you one step ahead, with a live countdown to your next school bell on your Apple Watch, iPhone and Lock Screen.
A discreet tap on your wrist tells you when it's time to start wrapping up. No clock-watching. No interruptions. Just more time to focus on teaching.
**YOUR NEXT BELL, AT A GLANCE**
- See the time remaining in your current lesson with an Apple Watch complication.
- Get gentle wrist-tap warnings before a lesson ends.
- View a live countdown on your iPhone Lock Screen and Dynamic Island.
- Choose exactly when and how you want to be notified.
**YOUR SCHOOL TIMETABLE, SORTED**
- Set up your school's bell times and day patterns.
- Supports weekly and fortnightly (Week A / Week B) timetables.
- Add class names and rooms to your personal schedule.
- See your upcoming lessons and free periods at a glance.
- Mark school holidays to pause alerts automatically.
- Fine-tune the countdown to match your school's actual bell, down to the second.
**SHARE BELL TIMES IN SECONDS**
Setting up a new timetable shouldn't be a chore.
Share your school's day patterns and bell times with colleagues using a QR code or link. They can import them without typing everything manually.
Only day patterns and bell times are shared - never your classes, rooms or personal timetable.
**SIMPLE, FREE AND PRIVATE**
- Completely free. No adverts or subscriptions.
- No accounts or sign-up.
- No tracking or data collection.
- Your timetable stays on your devices.
- Optional backup and restore using your own iCloud Drive.
Timetable Tamer was created by a Computer Science teacher who kept getting carried away in lessons and losing track of time.
Set your timetable once. Get on with teaching.
**Made by a teacher. For teachers.**
Ratings & Reviews

**What's New in Timetable Tamer**
**Share your bell times in seconds**
Getting colleagues set up is now a breeze! Share your school's day types and bell times using a QR code or link. They simply scan or tap to import — no need to enter everything by hand.
**A fresh new Home screen**
- Your next-bell countdown stays at the top, so it's always in view.
- Swipe between days to see what's coming up, then tap Today to jump straight back.
- Weekends and days off now get a friendly welcome instead of an empty screen.
**Running over? We'll keep counting!**
Lessons don't always finish on time! When the bell has passed, the countdown turns red and starts counting up, showing exactly how far you've overrun. It works on your iPhone, Apple Watch and watch face, and automatically switches to the next bell when it's time. You can turn this feature on or off in Settings.
**A little polish**
We've made Settings clearer and easier to navigate. Your Apple Watch now opens on today's timetable, with a simple swipe to explore other days.
**Thanks for using Timetable Tamer!**
