Inkglass is screen annotation for live work. Press Control-Option-N, or click the pen in the menu bar, and draw on your screen over any app: pen, highlighter, arrows, shapes and a pointer people can follow. Press Command-C and your ink lands on the clipboard together with the screen beneath it, as one image. There is no screenshot to take first and no editor window to close. The whole interface is one black island at the top of the screen. It grows out of the notch on a MacBook, and sits at the top center of any other display. You can move it to any edge. DRAW ON ANYTHING • One hotkey opens the overlay over any app, and Esc closes it • Pen, marker and eraser, with undo, redo and clear all • Highlighter, lines, arrows, rectangles and ellipses. Hold Shift for straight lines • Text notes in three styles: Plain, Outline and Boxed • Five ink colors • Select, move and resize what you drew • A highlight ring on your pointer, so people can follow it on a call COPY IN ONE KEY • Command-C copies your ink and the screen beneath it as one image • Or drag a box to copy just a region • The island and its tools are never part of the image • Paste into a chat, a ticket, a document or an email MADE FOR • Video calls: point with ink instead of words • Design and copy review: mark the fixes and send one picture • Bug reports and support: show exactly what broke • Teaching and walkthroughs: draw on whatever is already open INKGLASS PRO (OPTIONAL IN-APP PURCHASE) These tools need Inkglass Pro, a one-time purchase. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no analytics, no tracking and no ads • Drawing needs no permission • macOS asks for Screen Recording only when you use the screen behind your ink: to copy, save or share it, to zoom or freeze, or to copy text. If you decline, Inkglass still copies your ink on a transparent background • Nothing you draw or capture leaves your Mac.
