Prepare for the French civic exam (examen civique), the French citizenship and residency test required since 1 January 2026 for a multi-year residence permit (carte de séjour pluriannuelle), a resident card (carte de résident) and French citizenship (naturalisation). Practise the French citizenship test with the app's interface in English; the questions stay in French, as in the real exam. Switch at any time without losing your progress. 148 SITUATION QUESTIONS The ministry does not publish its situation questions ("mises en situation"). The app includes 148, written from the principles of the French Republic: laïcité (secularism), equality between women and men, rights and duties at work, at school and in public services. EVERY ANSWER EXPLAINED, WITH ITS SOURCE The ministry publishes the questions but not the answers. For each question, the app gives four options, marks the right one and explains it in French, citing its source: the ministry's civic training sheets, the French Constitution, the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen, service-public.fr and more. MOCK EXAMS LIKE THE REAL TEST 40 questions in 45 minutes, 32 correct answers to pass (80%). As in the real civic exam: 28 knowledge questions across the five official themes and 12 situation questions. The exam ends when time runs out, and you can go back to any answer before you finish. A STUDY PLAN BUILT AROUND YOUR EXAM DATE Enter your exam date: the app sets a daily goal, mixes new questions, reviews and mistakes, puts more weight on the themes you get wrong and schedules mock exams up to exam day. An optional daily reminder keeps you on track.
