Mariner's Draft Survey is the draft survey and cargo planning app for bulk carrier officers. Built by a Chief Officer, it works from your own ship's tables and shows the working behind every figure, so you can check the calculation, not just trust it.
DRAFT SURVEY
• Six drafts, forward, midships and aft, port and starboard, on a ship diagram
• Corrections to the perpendiculars, mean of means, trim, list and hog or sag
• Hydrostatic interpolation from your vessel's own table
• First and second trim corrections, and the dock water density correction
• Ballast, fresh water, fuel and other deductibles from your sounding tables, with trim and list corrections
• Net cargo by difference, with lightship and constant
• Tap any figure for its formula and the numbers that went into it
• A signed PDF report with your company's name and logo
STOWAGE AND LOADING
• Stowage Plan: share the cargo between the holds for the trim you want, loading or discharging, with a second cargo or on top of cargo already aboard
• Sequence Plan: pours and ballast steps the terminal can work, with trim checked at every step
• Manual Stowage: when the stow is already decided and you just want the sheet
• Trimming Calculator and Grab Counter: the last tonnes for the final trim, counted grab by grab, with an ETA for each hold
• Hatch by Hatch: a fair figure per hold when the shore figures don't add up to your survey
CARGO VOYAGE PLANNER
• How much she can lift, and which limit sets it
• Every limit on the passage in one answer: load line zones and seasons, channel depths with your under-keel clearance, berth drafts and air draft under bridges
• Load lines checked by displacement and at the mark amidships, using your certificate FWA
• Fuel, water and endurance to every waypoint, with ECA and port rates
• Enter the drafts and figures measured at any port, and the rest of the voyage is worked from them
• A passage plan report to print or share
AT THE SHIP'S SIDE
• Draft Reader: read the marks off a photo when you can't read them by eye
• Heel Meter: work out the seaside draft you can't read from the heel and the side you can

Ratings & Reviews

• Load line zones are now checked at the mark amidships as well as by displacement, using your certificate FWA. The limit that decides is named, with the reason — trim, sag or a list. Fresh and Tropical Fresh are worked for you from Summer and Tropical.
• Each ship keeps her own survey and plans: switch vessels and come back to hers exactly as you left it. Survey and report history are listed by vessel.
• A dock water density such as 1.0215 is shown and carried through exactly as read — on the survey, the report, stowage and the sequence plan.
• Local time at each waypoint is picked from a list of time zones.
• Company logos picked from Photos now print on reports.
• Ballast Watch: alarms stay with the ship that is pumping, and its history is listed by vessel.
• Many fixes across the survey, stowage, voyage planner, Hatch by Hatch and backup.
