ColorBear is a mood diary you write in color, not words.
Even on days when your feelings are hard to put into words, you can still pick a color. Three times a day, choose a color for how you feel, and a cute watercolor bear soaks it up. It takes ten seconds.
A new bear joins you every day, and together they show the flow of your moods over days and weeks. No writing, just a small habit of checking in with yourself.
■ Mood check-ins, three times a day
Morning, afternoon, and evening, a reminder asks: "What color is right now?" Change the times or turn them off whenever you like.
■ Pick a color, watch the bear bloom
Tap a bear to open that day's page: the date, a big bear, and a row of colors. Pick one and the paint spreads across the bear — journaling without the pressure of writing.
■ Edit morning, afternoon, or evening
Choose a time of day with the sunrise, sun, and moon, then change just that color. Tap the same color again to clear it.
■ Thirty-five bears
Waving, napping, eating a donut, holding an umbrella, playing guitar, camping, and more. A bear arrives at random each day; tap the big bear on the day's page to line up all thirty-five and pick the one that fits your day. What each color means is up to you.
■ See your mood over time
Today sits in the middle, with past days' bears stacking up above. Today's bear breathes quietly while it waits for your first color, and cheers when you've filled all three.
■ Log right from your Home Screen widget
At each reminder time, your palette's colors circle the bear on your widget. Pick one without opening the app, and today's bear is painted in that color. Between check-ins, the bear naps on your Home Screen.
■ Palettes you make your own
Start with ten palettes — Watercolor Bear, Spring, Dried Flower, Cloud, Jewel, and more. Recolor any of them, and restore the original colors whenever you like.
Tap + to make a new palette of your own. Choose colors with a rainbow slider and a depth slider, or the system color picker, and use anywhere from three to seven colors. The bear previews each color as you choose it. Delete a palette you no longer use — days you've already painted keep their colors.
■ White paper or night sky
Bears sit on clean white paper by day, and on a dark background in Dark Mode.
■ Your entries stay on your device
No account, no sign-in, no ads. Everything is stored only on your device and never sent anywhere.
