Four new kinds of thinking puzzles: pictures that stand for numbers, how many triangles hide in a drawing, which number fits the clues, and mazes with a rule. A new child's daily time now starts from their age. From seven, questions are read at a normal pace, and you can stop them being read aloud on their own. Challenge stars now match the number of right answers.

On iPhone Duo, folded: the app now stays clear of the clock and camera on the right.

Every child can now try everything. Free play with the maths tools, the challenges, two players and all six games against Hedgehog are open to every child a few times a day, and with VIP as often as they like. The report tells you when your child wanted to keep playing.

Nothing changes in the app this time. The App Store page has new pictures, so you can see what Numiko does before you download it.

New in 1.2 • Choose your child's school curriculum: Vietnam, the US, Japan, Korea, China, France, Germany (Bavaria), Spain or Brazil, or simply by age. The questions, the report and the page for the teacher follow your child's year at school. • New grade 3 maths: numbers up to 100,000, adding and subtracting in columns, multiplying and dividing by a one-digit number, and units of measure. • The number your child types now appears right in the box of the question, and in a sum set out in columns each digit goes under its column. • On iPad: bigger plants in the garden, number cards sized for the screen, and parent screens that are easier to read. • A tap opens the page for the teacher at full size, so you can read it before you share it. • On iPad, the stickers in the garden stay where they were when you turn it. • The App Store page now lists all nine languages Numiko speaks.

New in 1.1 • Three new games against Hedgehog: Sum to 15, Shut the box and Garden beds. One game a day is free for every child; VIP opens every game, every day. • Times tables in Quick sums, and the hardest steps now reach grade 3 maths. • From age 6, Hedgehog sometimes works a problem out loud and slips up, and your child finds the wrong step. • A new child picks their own animal friend, and children can decorate the garden with the animal stickers from their album. • The parent area opens on each child's day: played or not, for how long, and tonight's card to play together. • Play time for each child, a bedtime if you want one, and a Sunday evening note on the week if you switch it on. • Twelve new cards to play together with nothing to bring: in the car, in a queue, in the kitchen.
