Rundown opens your Markdown already rendered — and lets you edit it right there. No switching to a source pane to fix a typo: click into the formatted page and type. Rundown only rewrites what you change. Every paragraph you don't touch is saved exactly as it was, byte for byte, so your spacing, list markers and formatting habits survive editing. EDIT THE RENDERED PAGE • Headings, bold, italic, strikethrough, inline code and links • Bulleted, numbered and task lists. Tick a checkbox to complete a task • Blockquotes, code blocks, tables and horizontal rules • Add and remove table rows and columns from the Table menu THREE WAYS TO WORK • Preview: the rendered document, editable in place • Split: source and rendered side by side, kept aligned block by block as you scroll • Edit: the Markdown source with syntax highlighting and line numbers A lock guards the rendered page against accidental edits when you only want to read. DIAGRAMS Mermaid code blocks are drawn as diagrams — flowcharts, sequence diagrams and more. Zoom with a pinch or ⌘-scroll, drag to pan, and watch the drawing update as you type in Split view. YOUR FILES AND FOLDERS • Open a folder to browse its Markdown files in the sidebar • Create, rename and delete files without leaving the app • Filter the sidebar by name, and navigate it from the keyboard • Rename a document by clicking its title • Links to other Markdown files in the folder open in Rundown • Drag a file or folder onto the window to open it PRIVATE BY DESIGN Rundown collects no data and makes no network requests. Remote images in a document are never loaded, so opening a file can't tell its author you read it. Links to local files are revealed in the Finder rather than opened, so a downloaded document can't launch anything on your behalf. TRY IT FREE Try every feature free for 14 days.
