Golden Relay is a quiet little puzzle about turning brass rings until everything connects. In the middle of each board sits a glowing core. Around it are golden rings, each covered in track pieces. Turn a ring one notch and a path might light up all the way to a receiver, or a connection you already had might go dark. When every receiver is powered at the same time, you press the big red button and watch the machine come to life. That's the whole idea, and it gets surprisingly deep. Early on it's just you and two rings. Later some rings are linked and turn together. Some turn the opposite way. Some are clamped in place and won't move at all, so you have to work around them. There are 160 puzzles spread across eight workshops. Finish a workshop and its machine wakes up and goes into your collection. Lumo, a small clockwork owl, keeps you company along the way. A few things I cared about while making it: - No timers, no lives, no losing. Take as long as you like. - Undo is always there. So is restart. - Stuck? A hint shows you one turn, nothing more. If you're out of hint keys, a free hint shows up after 20 seconds of quiet time on the board. No ads, no purchases. - Each level has a gold, silver and bronze medal based on how many turns you took. Replay any level to improve your medal. - Daily Wind-Up: wind a small machine once a day for two extra hint keys. - You can export your progress to a backup file and bring it to a new phone. If you like slow, thoughtful puzzles you can play a few minutes at a time, I hope you enjoy this one.
