New in version 1.7: • The guide now follows the official list of birds of Brazil (CBRO): 1,979 species, with the CBRO Portuguese names. • When a bird's Portuguese name changed, its page shows the former one, and search still finds the bird by it. • Birds that left the list and that you've already logged stay in My list and in the Piudex, tagged as exotic or not on the CBRO list. • The Portuguese name now shows on every species screen.

New in version 1.6: • New Collection tab: every species in Brazil has a number in your Piudex. See how many you've logged and which are missing. • Every new bird becomes a card, with your photo, the place and the date. • 15 medals to earn: species, states, owls, hummingbirds, birds before 6 a.m. and more. • Explorer map: the states where you've seen birds turn green. • Share a photo from the Photos app (or a screenshot) to Piu to identify the bird.

New in version 1.5.2: • Small improvements and fixes.

New in version 1.5.1: • Photo identification is faster on the first photo after opening the app. • In dark mode, the free identification counter is visible again.

New in version 1.5: • Identify birds by their song: record a few seconds and Piu shows the most likely species. Works offline and is free. We start with 20 species and will keep adding more. • The guide now has photos of 1,700+ birds (up from 300). • Edit or delete sightings in My list and pin the place on a map. • Compare your photo with the guide's and open the species on iNaturalist for more photos and its map.

New: Piu Pro. After the 5 free photo identifications, you can subscribe to Piu Pro and keep identifying, with an annual plan (7-day free trial), monthly, or lifetime. The guide and your list stay free. In About, you can restore your purchase and manage your subscription.

New: all your photos in one place. In My list, the Photos mode shows every photo from your sightings, by month, with filters by state and species. Tap a photo to see it full screen, zoom in, and swipe to the others. Share your photos with the bird's name and the Piu mark, with or without the place, or send just the photo.

New: identify birds from a photo. In the new Identify tab, take or pick a photo of the bird and see the 3 most likely species, with photos and songs to compare. Tap the right one and it goes on your list with your photo, the date and the place. No internet right now? The photo is kept so you can identify it later. You get 5 free identifications to try it out.

New: take or pick a photo when you log a sighting. With a photo from your library, the date and place come from the photo itself. New: see your sightings on a map, grouped like in the Photos app. Piu is now available in English.
