Put a note anywhere, draw a line to the next one, and let AI help your ideas grow, without it ever moving what you placed. THINK FREELY • Double-click anywhere to write. No templates, no boxes to fill in. • Drag one note onto another to connect them. Lines curve neatly and can carry a label. • Group related notes in titled sections. • Snap guides and a Tidy Up command line things up only when you ask. GROW IDEAS FROM THE KEYBOARD • Tab adds a connected child, Return adds a sibling, Esc finishes editing. • Hover a note and click + to branch in any direction. • Press ⌘K to find any command or jump to any note. AI THAT RESPECTS YOUR LAYOUT • Select a note and choose Expand with AI, or press ⌘. and ask for anything: "turn this into a launch checklist", "five risks we missed". • New ideas arrive as connected notes in free space next to your selection. Existing notes never move, and every AI edit can be undone. • Dotline sends your request straight to Anthropic's Claude with your own API key. There is no Dotline account and no Dotline server in between. WORKS WITH CLAUDE CODE AND OTHER MCP CLIENTS • Connect Claude Code, Codex or any Model Context Protocol client to the MCP server built into Dotline. • Your AI reads the canvas as a clean outline, including the note you selected and what is on screen, so "expand the note I selected" just works. • It adds structure, never coordinates: Dotline sizes and places every note so nothing overlaps. YOUR FILES, YOUR MAC • Canvases are plain .canvas files (the open JSON Canvas format) that you can keep anywhere, back up and version. • Light and dark appearance, with word-aware line breaks for Korean. • Export any canvas as PNG or PDF.
