Nolya is a native macOS note app for ideas that arrive in the middle of your day. Capture a thought in the compact quick-note panel, then give it a home with folders, checklists, attachments, and reminders.
QUICK NOTES WITHIN REACH
Open Nolya from the Dock or menu bar, or use Option + Space by default. Choose another shortcut to fit your setup. Save a quick note with Command + Return and return to your work. Close the panel and keep your draft for later. Edits in the main notes window save automatically.
A SIMPLE HOME FOR YOUR NOTES
Create folders for work, personal projects, or whatever is on your mind. Drag one note or a selection into a folder. Search your notes, pin favorites, and copy text to use elsewhere. Select multiple notes to delete together, and restore them from Recently Deleted.
MORE THAN WORDS
Add photos and files to your notes with drag and drop or the file picker. Preview photos and PDFs inside Nolya. Format text with headings, bold, italics, underlining, strikethrough, and bulleted lists. Choose fonts and text sizes, or build an interactive checklist and tick off items as you go.
COME BACK AT THE RIGHT TIME
Set a date and time for a note reminder. A macOS notification brings you back when it is time. Change or remove reminders whenever you need to.
PROTECT PERSONAL NOTES
Choose which notes to protect with a password. Their contents and attachments are encrypted on your Mac. Passwords cannot be recovered, so keep yours somewhere safe.
MAKE IT FEEL LIKE YOURS
Choose from seven color palettes, including Nolya's warm cream, charcoal, and salmon theme. Use the interface in 12 languages, with right-to-left support for Arabic.
ON YOUR DESKTOP
Add a Nolya widget to your desktop to keep recent or pinned notes in view. Click a note to open it, or start a quick note from the widget. Password-protected notes stay out of widgets.
STORED ON YOUR MAC
Your notes, drafts, and attachments are stored locally on your Mac. No account or internet connection is required.
